Frequently Asked Questions
Cosmetic Tattoo
-
Cosmetic tattooing also known as SPMU(semi permanent make up) is a technique that uses a handheld machine to implant pigment into the skin to enhance & reshape the area being tattooed.
-
We will go over your consultation form first, then you will get comfortable on my bed and I begin to map your brows to your face structure, brow bone & brow hairs. This can sometimes take some time as the brow mapping needs to be perfect before we begin tattooing.
Once we are both happy with the pre-draw I will begin tattooing. I will tattoo the outline then come through the middle for a full pass. I will add numbing gel after the first pass is complete and continue on with the tattoo process (2-3 more passes). We will then be finished and you were receive a aftercare kit and instructions to take home.

Immediately after your service, if any lymph fluid comes out (looks like little tiny dots of sweat or clear fluid) wipe this away with a damp cotton round.
Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 2-4 weeks after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors to prevent sun fade.
Avoid heavy sweating and long hot showers for the first 7 days. You need to keep your brows dry for them to heal correctly. If the scabbing has not peeled by day 7 continue to keep dry.
Avoid topical makeup including sunscreen on the area for 10 days.
-
Cosmetic tattooing is a 2 part appointment because we need to apply the pigment safely in the skin in layers, this means we are not compromising the skins integrity & health. This also gives us the chance to correct any uneven areas from the healing stage. Having 2 appointments also helps the longevity of the brows.
-
A lot of factors come in to this, including skin type, lifestyle and personal preference, Everyone is different in the way their skin holds pigment. We recommend having a colour boost anywhere from 10-24months after your initial appointment, once you have had a colour boost you should be able to start stretching them further apart. This is all case by case.
-
Sometimes, I require pictures sent through to me for review. If the colour is light enough for me to work over I will, but in some cases I will not be able to & will recommend removal. I can never guarantee results.
-
Each client experiences pain differently but almost every client has said “I thought it was going to be way worse”. During your appointments we use anesthetics to numb the treatment area during the procedure which makes each treatment pretty comfortable for you.
-
Absolutely, but please take in to consideration that I do not offer microblading which is the hair stroke look. I only do powder brows which is the powder look of cosmetic tattoo generally a more defined finish, as if you’ve got them perfectly filled in with your favourite brow pencil.
-
Yes absolutely after 6 weeks, you may find they look like they did in the first 48 hours of your appointment when the pigment was still in the top layer of your skin. This is a great option if you love your brows dark as once your cosmetic tattoo heals the colour under the skin will be a lot more natural then the initial look.
-
OMG NO!! haha your brow hair will stay and I will only remove the hair not inside of our pre-draw. We would like the tattoo to sit nicely behind your brow hair so your tattooed brows look natural but darker & defined.
-
Yes, brow tattooing is not NO maintenance, its LOW maintenance. The hairs will still grow on and around your brows, I recommend getting your brows waxed or plucking the hairs outside of the tattoo every 6 weeks to them looking fresh.
-
Unfortunately no, if you have started chemotherapy or radiation we need to wait until 6 months after your last treatment before completing your tattoo.
Brow & Lash Bar
-
Hybrid stain is a mixture between henna skin stain and brow tint, it last for up to 2 weeks on the skin and 6 weeks on the eye brow hairs. Each appointment come with a brow map, stain, wax & sculpt.
Brow lamination is a treatment using chemicals to break down the bonds in the hairs to basically straighten the brow hairs and manipulate into the desired shape, followed by a stain on top with everything included. Brow lamination lasts for 8 weeks but you will need to use the aftercare oil and brush your hairs daily. I recommend also using brow gel to keep the hairs in place if you like the defined look. Hybrid stain will still last up to 2 weeks on the skin & up to 6 on the hairs.
-
A lash lift is considered a perm for your lashes giving similar results as if you were to curl your lashes with a lash curler. Lash Lift last approximately 6 weeks.
-
The short answer is yes, but a few variables come into play. Results will vary depending on your brow hairs so you need to have hair on your brows to have a brow lamination, if you have a lot of baby hairs these hairs are at the beginning of their cycle so will sometimes not be able to be laminated
also, If you have sensitive skin this is important to make me aware of so I can use my vegan range which is not as harsh on the skin.
-
Hybrid stains - There is no timeframe for hybrid stain, most people come every 3-4 weeks but this is personal preferences.
Brow Lamination - must be performed at least 8 weeks apart this is because we need to keep the integrity of the hair in good health, the hairs need time to rehydrate and replenish before having another treatment. You are able to get hybrid stains between your 8 week brow lamination appointments.
-
Avoid retinol on your face 2 weeks before your appointment, This is really important as sometimes it can mess with the chemicals and cause the lamination not to work & also can cause grazing and lifting on the skin when waxing.
Avoid using exfoliating (be it AHA, BHA or scrubs) and anti-ageing skincare around the brow area for 7 days either side of your treatment.
Avoid fake tanning products (including gradual tan) on the face for three days either side of your treatment, as it can discolour the eyebrow stain (unless you’re after khaki coloured brows)
-
You should avoid getting your brows/Lashes wet for the first 24 hours after your treatment. Coming into contact with water could interfere with the process and impact the longevity of your treatment. Avoid swimming pools and baths for 24 hours and be extra careful in the shower and when washing your face (avoiding if possible).
We recommend that you avoid applying any heavy make up around the brow (such as foundation or concealer) for 24 hours after. The hair follicles can remain open for a while after hair removal, so if you are prone to sensitivity or breakouts, you may find that heavy make up could clog the pores.
Treating the area as a open wound for the first 48hrs would be the best way to avoid anything happening.
Teeth Whitening
-
Tooth colour is influenced by a combination of organic and inorganic stains found on the surface and inside the teeth (interior & exterior stains). These discolourations can be a result of several factors, including diet (drinking coffee, tea, red wine), lifestyle choices (smoking), age, or exposure to certain medications (such as tetracycline or fluoride). Teeth whitening is the process of breaking apart chemical bonds in these organic and inorganic stain-causing compounds though the application of a peroxide-based whitening gel to the teeth.
-
Before your appointment please avoid brusing you teeth upto 4 hours before your appointment. This is because some toothpastes contain fillers th t can actually block the microscopic “pores” in your teeth enamel making it harder for embedded stains to be released; I would reccommend a good brush with water only. I know this will make a lot of people uncomfortable about the possibility of breathe odour but don’t worry about that at all.
-
After your appointment your mouth may feel dehydrated but your saliva will fix that in the next hour or so.
We recommend following the “White diet” for 24 hours after the treatment. I will give you a list of ideas after your appointment. The pores are open still for up to 24hours afterwards so anything you expose your teeth to has the potential to restain the enamel so please follow the white diet.

-
You are welcome to come back every 3-6 months but once the teeth are at the whitest state they will no continue to whiten. If you are happy with the shade we get after 1 triple threat treatment then I would recommend coming back every year for a session to keep them pearly white or life.
